These are the key to our incredible, upper comfort layer; they’re our pride and joy. They’re smaller and slimmer than the typical, rather tall and bulky bed spring, because they’re made from titanium alloy; using this magic metal means even a micro size (25mm high with a thickness gauge of 0.9mm, which is the size of a very thin paperclip) gives you the support you need, but being so small and fine you won’t be able to feel a single one.

You’ll find up to 1,500 of these ingenious springs nestling in our Essential mattresses; each individual Aerocoil® spring flexes gently in response to you and your partner’s movements, and they're designed to offer personalised support to each of you without disturbing the other. And as they compress and extend with you, they gently push air through the comfort layer, helping you to stay fresh all night.

For enhanced airflow all night long

Being too hot at night is an absolute no-no for great sleep. That’s why we designed our fantastic Simbatex foam; it’s an open structure foam, which is engineered to encourage airflow. On top of that our sleep scientists have infused it with graphite, known to dissipate heat for a fresher night's sleep.

All the foam we use in our mattresses is CertiPUR® recognised, meaning both the materials it contains and the emissions it releases have been independently and rigorously assessed; CertiPUR® foams contain no heavy metals like mercury or lead.

We believe protecting the planet is as important as quality sleep.

We’re proud to be founding members of British Retail Consortium climate action roadmap and the UK’s first B Corp certified sleep brand. An accreditation that is only awarded to select businesses that promote social and environmental change through how they work and operate, something we consistently strive for.

Simba mattresses are made in the UK; we also offer a specialist mattress recycling service as well as a certified refurbishment programme.

We aim to use packaging which includes recycled materials (or materials from approved FSC sources) as much as possible, and we endeavour to use more sustainable materials and processes across our range, including Better Cottonand recycled plastic bottle fibres.
